  Noted events in her life were:

• Note. Robert Caufield (abt 1641-1691 LDS), owned land and lived in Chippoakes Parish of Surry Co., VA. He also owned 1,950 acres in Southwarke Parish in the Hog Island area. Robert married Elizabeth Allen (M abt. 1670 LDS), who was born Abt.1638 (abt.1645 LDS) and was the sister of Major Arthur Allen. Elizabeth reportedly married again to a man by the name of Joseph John Jackman. However, another researcher states that William, a son of Colonel Joseph BRIDGER(1628-1686) married Mrs. Elizabeth CAUFIELD of Surry. She was Elizabeth ALLEN. Robert was appointed Justice of Peace in Surry Co. on June 28, 1642 and a Burgess of Surry side in 1676. He and his wife, probably did not have nay children since he left most of his estates to his nieces and nephews, including ... Elizabeth, Katherine and James Children of Arthur Allen. Will dated January 2, 1691. It appears their was probably a mix up between Elizabeth the daughter of Authur Allen and Elizabeth (Caufield) the sister of Authur Allen by some researchers.

In Bacon's Rebellion of 1676, Arthur Allen's house was seized by a party of rebels and fortified. On Dec. 29, 1676, it was captured by sailors from ship in the James River who were engaged in putting down the rebellion. Arthur Allen, II (aka, Major Allen] and Robert Caufield, who had married Elizabeth Allen, sister of Major Arthur Allen, were with Governor Berkeley. Bacons's men were finally driven out on December 28, 1677. Afterwards Allen and Caufield brought suit against some of the participants for damage..

Elizabeth married John ALLEN, son of Arthur (not likely father) ALLEN and Alice (not likely mother) TUCKER. (John ALLEN was born about 1639.)
