Sterling Wright
Age 85, of Mousie, died June 4, 1999, at his home. He was born in Pike County, on July 18, 1913, the son of Andrew Wright and Arenda Anderson Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Wright. He is survived by one son, Pete Wright of Wheelwright; four daughters, Ethel Whitaker of Charlotte, Michigan, Linda Dunnagan of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Deborah Bentley and Tammy Cruz, both of Mousie; two brothers, William Wright of Pikeville, and Cecil Wright of Tennessee; one sister, Thelma Hampton of Pikeville; and 10 grandchildren, Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 7, at 1 p.m., at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Roger Hicks officiating. Burial was in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.

HINDMAN - Sterling Wright, 85, Mousie, retired coal miner, died Friday. Services 1 p.m. Monday, Hindman Funeral Services. Visitation 6-9 p.m. today.

Sterling married Emma Jean GIBSON, daughter of Ezekiel GIBSON and Ada CONLEY. (Emma Jean GIBSON was born on 23 May 1923 in Knott County, KY ² and died on 29 Dec 1997 in Mousie, Knott County, KY ³.)
