George Kincer treasury warrant assigned by James Murphey 90 acres joining hisold entry and lands of John Stroup also 100 acres in rich valley waters of Holston assigned by James Camron, assignee of James Murphey, joining John Stroup entry assigned to Adam Geerhart. • Tax List: Wythe County Tax List, 1794-1797, Wythe County, VA. 1794. Wythe County Tax List included the names of Adam Geerhart, John Geerheart, and Alvin Gerheart. • Court: Floyd County Court Book 1, 1808, Floyd County, KY. 28 November 1808. Adam Gearheart, Sr., appointed road surveyor from the ford by Henry Patton to the mouth of Stone Coal, to replace Henry Darter. Persons ordered to assist are John Damron, William Allen, George Allen, Adam Gearheart, Jr., Joseph Hale, Peter Hale & Zachariah Hale. • Court: Floyd County Court Book I, 1812, Floyd County, KY. 27 May 1812. Adam Gearheart, Sr., appointed Constable on Beaver Creek. Bond set at $1,000.00. Securities: John Gearheart, Abraham Picklesimer, Ezekiel Morris, James Young, David Morris, William Allen, and Edward Osburn. • Deed: Deed Book A and B, 1814-1817, Floyd County, KY. The early deed records of Floyd County show that large sections of land on the Left and Right Forks of Beaver Creek, as well as on Beaver Creek proper and Mud Creek, were owned by a David Morgan, who sold off tracts of varying size constituting an extended neighborhoods of sorts.
