In the name of God Amen.
I George McCoy of the county of Russell being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory (for which I thank God) and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estae as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in the manner following that is to say.
1st. I desire that such a part of my perishable property shall be sold as will pay all my just debts, and the remainder with my dwelling house plantation and orchards I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary for her support and raising my young children in during her natural life.
2nd. I give and bequeath to my son Robert one hundred dollar horse which he has already received.
3rd. I have given to my son George one hundred dollar horse also that part of my land he lives on to his boundries to cultivate as he pleases but not to sell till his mothers death and Ruben comes of age.
4th. I give and bequeath to my sons Brumfield and James, that part of my land lade off for them to cultivate as they please but not to sell till their mothers death and Ruben comes of age.
5th. I give and bequeath to my sons John and Thomas the remainder of the tract I now live on to cultivate as they pleas but not to sell as above mentioned.
6th. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary and son Ruben that tract Rachel McCoy has in possession her life time also that tract of land nown by the name of husks place.
Lastly I commend my soul to God that gave it and appoint my friend Ezekial Burdine and my son Brumfield my executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 2nd day of November, 1807.
