Noted events in his life were: • Court: Trespass, 1745, Louisa County, VA. p. 17 C.O.B., p. 142 Louisa County Court 26th of March 1745 Stephen Gupton agst Timothy Odenneal and Gilbert Gibson, Junr. Trespass. This day came the parties by their Attornies and thereupon came also a Jury to wit: Samuel Waddy, BENJAMIN ARNOLD, Francis Smithson, William White, Thomas Paulet, Roger Thompson, Bradl(e)y Kimbrow, Richard Palmer, Alexander Freeman, Thomas Dickenson, Richard Haggard, and Samuel Thompson who being elected tryed and sworn the truth to speak upon the issue joined brought in a Special Verdict which is admitted to Record and the matters of Law ariseing upon the said Verdict is referred for arguments till the next Court. • Court, 1746, Louisa County, VA. He was sued for a debt of 1 pound, 14 shillings in Louisa County court on 27 May 1746 • Will: father's will, 1756-1760, Louisa County, VA. not mentioned in either of his father's wills??? • Land, 1767, Louisa County, VA. He was about fifty-three years old on 2 May 1767 when he made a deposition regarding 200 acres of land given by his father to his brother George. Gilbert married Phebe. |
