Tommy Craft, age 67 of Garrett, Ky., husband of Verda Bentley Craft, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Ky. He was born August 21, 1943, the son of the late John and Zola Gibson Craft. He was a retired coal miner for the W & C Coal Co. and is a member of the Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Verda, two sons, Tommy Ray Craft of Lexington, Ky. and John Glenn Craft of Louisville, Ky., one brother, James Craft of Estill, Ky., and two sisters, Patty Coburn of Garrett, Ky. and Lorraine Whistler of Shelby, Oh., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Worley Craft, and two sisters, Pearline Slone and Dorothy Cahill.
Funeral services for Tommy Craft will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Martin Branch Freewill Baptist Church, Estill, Ky. with the Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Chaffins Cemetery, Garrett, Ky. with Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
