Dead in Minneapolis

Mrs. Josephine Skarstad, 80, died Tuesday night at the home of her son, Julius, in Minneapolis where she had lived the past four years. She suffered a stroke.
She was born September 1, 1871, in Winona county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Mundahl. She was married to Iver Skarstad November 18, 1895, at Toronto, S. D., and they settled in Arendahl township, where they lived until moving here in 1928.
Surviving are three sons: Julius; Irvin, Rochester, and J. C. Skarstad, Winona; a foster daughter, Mrs. Fred LaVoy, Waycross, Ga., and a half sister, Mrs. Carl Larson, Rochester.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Arendahl Lutheran church, the Rev. Carl J. Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Jensen funeral home here.
