  Noted events in their marriage were:

• Notes: daughter "Anna Maria," 1840. In the Rennesøy bygdebok (and elsewhere on the internet), there is mention of a daughter, Anna Maria Knudsdatter, who is born 15 Mar 1840. At this time, we believe this is in error and should be daughter Berta Maria Knudsdatter born in 1841. In May of 1840, we see the as yet unmarried Berta Torjersdatter leaving Sand, Jelsa, Rogaland, Norway for Skudenes. There is no child traveling with her and there is not Anna in future migrations of this family. If Anna did exist, she was deceased by 1847. [RDG 2014]

Knud and Berthe were likely married in Skudenes, but the church records were burned in 1841 so we don't have exact information.

Berthe next married Even Pedersen SKAVELDEN betw 1850 and 1860. (Even Pedersen SKAVELDEN was born about 1793 in Norway and died after Jun 1875 in America.)
