She married Anders "Andrew" Evenson on January 20, 1865 in East Koshkonong, Cottage Grove Township, Dane County, Wisconsin. The service was officiated by Rev. Jakob Aall Otteson. Marriage witnesses were Ole Rolfson and I. Rolfson.

She was the mother of the following eight known children: Gustav August, "Isabelle" Ingeborg Gurine Evenson, Dina Rebecca Evenson Sargent, Julianne Evenson, Andrea Kristine Evenson, Serine Jonette Evenson, Serine Berthine Evenson and Marie Elizabeth Evenson.

On August 20, 1870 and June 1, 1880 she was living on her Evenson farm in Cottage Grove, Dane County, Wisconsin.
On June 18, 1885 and June 30, 1900 she was living in Lillian, Custer County, Nebraska.
The Arvada Cemetery was created from land the Evenson's homesteaded. They allowed others to be buried there at no charge. Kristi, Sarah and Andrea are all buried here also along with a total of 29 others.
