PAXTON - The Funeral Of Ronald R. Apland, 87, of 1404E 100N Road, Paxton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Harold Bodeen officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died at 9:50 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 15, 1997) at Heartland Health Care Center, Paxton.
Mr. Apland was born May 29, 1910, in Elliott, the son of Martin and Mabel Ryerson Apland. He married Arlene Burklund April 12, 1941, in Paxton. She died July 5, 1990.
He is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Babette) Apland, North Oak, Minn.; two daughters, Julie (Don) Shult, Paxton, and Janet (Larry) Emmons, Glen Ellyn; two sisters, Helen Hunt, Rockford, and Martha Meyer, Paxton; one brother, Eugene Apland, Gibson City; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
