Marion L. Severson
Age 86. Sunday, November 27, 2005 at his late residence. Born in Seneca, IL and a Joliet area resident since 1956. A WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran. Retired from Charles G. Stevens Steel Company after over 30 years of service. He was a farmer in the Nettle Creek area, North of Morris, from 1946-1955. Former member of the Loyal Order of the Mosse Lodge #300, Cantigny Post VFW #367, and the Joliet Beach Club. He was an avid Town & Country Bowling League member, and a member of the Pioneers Club of Stavanger Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death his wife, Fay E. (nee Fisher) Severson; his parents, Zenas and Mabel Severson; and his son-in-law, Robert Fowler.
Survived by two daughters, Joy Fowler and Hazel (Philip) Garibold; one son, Terry (Karen) Severson all of Joliet; nine grandchildren, Cindy (Rich) Brzana, Rob (Angela) Fowler, Doug (Kelly) Fowler and Stephanie (Jim) Donahue; Andrea (Celedonio) Figueroa, Angela (Dennis) Keating and Lea Severson; Laura (Seth) Rempel and Thomas Severson; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Marion L. Severson will be Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. As it was Marion's wish, cremation rites will be accorded following funeral services. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Faith Lutheran Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until time of services at 8:00 p.m. at:
