Nancy Radcliffe Johnson, 80, of Wenatchee, WA, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2011, at the home of her daughter, following a recent diagnosis of lung cancer. She was a former resident of Cashmere and was retired from the Wenatchee School District. Nancy was born on June 22, 1930, in Newark, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Johnson, in 2003; and her son, Garth Johnson, in 2010. Survivors include her daughter, Jill (Rolen) Larson (Joel) of Wenatchee; her sister, Jill Norton of Cambridge, MA; a foster son, Jerry Bender of California; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Neace of Wenatchee; two grandsons, Russell Rolen (Sara) of Chicago, IL and Jared Rolen (Rebecca) of Tri-Cities, WA; two granddaughters, Michelle Frohm (Aaron) of Everett, WA and Jaclyn Rolen (Aaron) of Seattle WA; two great-grandchildren, Lyla Lynne Frohm of Everett, WA and Natalie Rolen of Tri-Cities, WA; and a special family friend, "Aunt Diane" Stober of Wenatchee.
Nancy was a very private person and at her request, there will be No Public Memorial Service, published photo or further information disclosed about her life. The family will hold a Private Celebration in her honor, at a later date. Memorials may be made to the "Larry Johnson Memorial Scholarship" in care of Telford's Chapel of the Valley at 711 Grant Road in East Wenatchee. This scholarship fund helps subsidize private music lessons for local music students who have financial need. Alternate memorials may be sent directly to Children's Home Society at 1014 Walla Walla Avenue, Wenatchee.
The family would like to give special appreciation to Hospice nurse, Debbie for her compassionate and expert help; and to Hospice nurse, Trish for her middle of the night advice and support; and to the rest of the home health and hospice staff. You are all amazing in what you do for families in this situation.

Memorial donations may be made to Children's Home Society or the Larry Johnson Scholarship Memorial: 1217 S. Hills Drive, Wenatchee.
Family will have a private celebration of Nancy's life at a later date.
Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
Nancy married Lawrence Alfred JOHNSON, son of Alfred S. JOHNSON and Olga WICKS. (Lawrence Alfred JOHNSON was born on 23 Mar 1928 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA 1 and died on 19 Aug 2003 in Chelan County, Washington, USA.)
