  Noted events in her life were:

• Obituary, 1894. Celia Cooper, wife of David Cooper, of Guthrie, died at her home in Guthrie, Thursday, Sept. 6th, aged 25 years, 9 months and 12 days. Her father and mother Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Ryerson, reside about two miles east of Guthrie. She was born in Ford County, and was well known and greatly beloved in the community where her brief life was spent. In the family and among her associates she was a special favorite. She was a sweet singer, and for several years was organist at the religious services at Guthrie. She was converted and united with the United Brethren Church at Elliott about eight years ago,. Oct. 25th, 1893, she was united in marriage with David Cooper, one of Four Count's most estimable young men, and the outlook for a long and happy life seemed bright. But, as so often is said, "death loves a shining mark," so it was in her case. Less than a year a bride, and leaving a sweet little daughter four weeks old and a broken hearted young husband, she was called to her heavenly home. But sudden as the call came, she was found ready. Conscious of her rapidly approaching end, her faith in Christ never faltered, and her words of confidence and cheer leave with her friends a consolation exceeding great. She died as a faithful Christian should die, with a full assurance of an endless life. Her funeral was conducted at her late home in Guthrie by her pastor, Rev. W. T. Beadles, assisted by Rev. Deuringer of Guthrie, for after her marriage she had united with the M.E. church with her husband. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of friends and neighbors. The casket of pure white was covered with floral offerings. A quartet from the M.E. choir\emdash Mrs. J.S. Moore, Mrs. J.R. Ross and Messrs. J.W. and S.H. Preston\emdash with Miss Bertha Beadles at the organ, rendered appropriate music. The last look on the fair still face was taken by hundreds of loving friends, and then the pall bearers, six members of Guthrie Lodge I.O.O.F., lifted the casket and bore it to the funeral car, in which it was taken to the cemetery at Gibson, where it was tenderly laid in the bosom of Mother Earth.
