TOLLECK JOHNSON, 40 years old, farmer near Mabel in Fillmore county, was killed today when a pole broke which connected a threshing engine and separator as the vehicles were proceeding down a hill, causing the separator to crash into the rear of the engine, on the step of which Johnson was riding.
He was caught between the two vehicles and fatally crushed. A physician was summoned but death had already occurred.
Johnson, who was the owner and operator of the threshing outfit, resided in the town of Preble near Tawney. He is survived by a widow and five children.
The body was to be taken to an undertaking establishment at Mabel. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
