Warren Aygarn, 88, of Mabel
Warren D. Aygarn, 88, of Mabel, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
He was born Sept. 8, 1921, on the family farm near Choice, Minn., to Lewis and Laura (Benson) Aygarn. He attended school in Choice and then graduated from the Rushford High School. He farmed on the family dairy farm and also worked at factories in Winona and Peterson. After retiring he lived in Canton a few years before becoming a resident at the Green Lea Manor Nursing Home in Mabel.
He enjoyed fishing, his cats, and photography.
He is survived by a sister, Ardis Haagenson of Rochester; a niece, Rebecca (Charles) Talkie of West Chester, Ohio; and half nephew, Harold Hauck of Mendocino, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a brother Lyle; half sisters, Edith Aygarn, Grace Aygarn, Mildred Stanger, and Esther Hauck; and a niece, Connie Haagenson Reisenbigler.
Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 11, at the Choice Cemetery near Mabel.
Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel assisted with arrangements.
