Rasmussen funeral is Saturday
The funeral for Jarlath D. Rasmussen, 34, 810 E. Prairie St., will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Glenn Ioder will officiate. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Behrendt Funeral Home.
Mr. Rasmussen died Wednesday at 7a.m. at the Veterans Hospital of Hines. He had been ill a year.
He was born Nov. 14, 1940, at Pontiac, a son of Ralph and Aldine (Ryerson) Rasmussen.
Surviving are his parents; a daughter, Sheryl Lynn and a son, Donald Michael, both at home; two brothers, Ralph Jr., Indianapolis, Ind.; Clayton, Glenview; a sister, Miss Marian Rasmussen, Pontiac.
A brother preceded him in death.
He attend Pontiac Schools and Winston Churchill College. He was employed at the Ideal Body Shop and has served in Korea in the Marines and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Pontiac Sportsman's Club.
The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church.
