ODELL - The Funeral Of Geneva E. (McCumsey) Ryerson, 81, of 185 Crawford Hollow Road, Parksville, Ky., formerly of 407 Howard St., Odell, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Duffy Funeral Home, Odell, the Rev. Paul Paskewitz officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Odell. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She died at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 1995) at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, Ky. Memorials may be made to Odell United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol I. Edwards, Rockford; Bernice J. Ward, Streator; and Charlotte D. Ballard, Parksville, Ky.; one son, Robert V. Edwards, Odell; one sister, Darlene Neitzel, Streator; six brothers, Virgil McCumsey and Don McCumsey, both of Streator; Ralph McCumsey, Battle Creek, Mich.; Robert McCumsey, Homosassa, Fla.; Raymond McCumsey, Westminster, S.C.; and Weaver McCumsey, Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ryerson was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Streator, to Robert L. and Flossie A. Lewis McCumsey. She married John J. Edwards in Streator. He died in 1947. She married Thomas G. Ryerson Oct. 28, 1955, in Streator. He died Dec. 12, 1979.
She was self-employed in the trucking business in Streator before working for Owens Illinois Glass Co., Streator. She worked at Motorola Inc., Pontiac, before retiring.
She moved to the Kentucky address in 1992.
She was a member of Odell United Methodist Church. She attended a rural Streator grade school and Streator High School.
