Stella Tudahl, 79, of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, died Friday at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona.
Stella Johnson was born April 14, 1918, in Choice. On Dec. 30, 1941, she married Carl B. Tudahl in Burr Oak, Iowa. He died April 17, 1983. Mrs. Tudahl was a lifelong resident of the Rushford area and cooked for the Coffee Shop and Home Cafe in Rushford and for numerous city functions and family events. She was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, the American Legion Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary in Rushford. She enjoyed dancing and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Carrol of Rushford; two daughters, Dianne (Mrs. Clifford) Hallum of Rushford and Anita (Mrs. Dale) Batchelder of Galesburg, Ill.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan Johnson of Rushford and Allen Johnson of Mabel; and a sister, Charlotte (Mrs. James) Slifke of Medford. Her husband and a brother preceded her in death.
The funeral was Monday at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Revs. Elmer Odland and Donald Block co-officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Hoff Funeral Homes-Cook Rushford Chapel in Rushford was in charge of arrangements.
