• Obituary: Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes, 2013, Minnesota, USA. ROCHESTER, MN: Millard Glendon Vitse, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital.

Millard was born July 24, 1935 in Rushford City, MN to Henry and Florence (Johnson) Vitse. He was a 1953 graduate of Rushford High School. On July 28, 1956, Millard married Clarice Helland in Whalan, MN at Highland Lutheran Church. Millard was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Woodcarvers Club and was a veteran, proudly serving his country with the US Army. Millard worked as an electrician and retired after more than 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, woodcarving, building and playing cards, especially cribbage. Above all, Millard loved spending time and making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Millard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Clarice; daughters, DeVon (Todd) Lund of Rushford, Christy Vitse of Rochester; grandchildren, Nicholas (Jenny) DeFrang, Joshua Amaris, Erica Amaris, Valerie Lund, Tiffany (Joseph) Lawler and Kirsten Lund; great-grandchildren, Jacob Anderson, Charlie DeFrang, Claire DeFrang, Harper Hylton, Makayla Horsman, Taylar Horsman, Wyatt Reimers, Aubrey Lawler, Ava Lawler, Kenneth Olson and Elizabeth Olson; sister, Rebecca (Philip) Rislove of Harlingen, TX and sister-in-law, Joan Vitse of Rushford. Millard was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Florence; sister, Helen and brothers, Jerome and Roger.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church 810 3rd Ave. SE, Rochester. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev.
