Inger Christine HASLERUD

• Obituary, 2012. Inger C. Smith, 59, of Kingsford, went to meet the Lord and walk with her mom, dad and brother on Sunday, April 15, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1952, in Wahlen, Minn, daughter of the late Charles and Mina (Gullickson) Haslerud. Inger was a homemaker for most of her life, but worked for about five years at Martens Manufacturing.
She married Robert Smith on July 3, 1976, in Iron Mountain.
Inger was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her loving family and oh so many friends, who will always keep her in their thoughts until they meet again. Inger is now in a better place where she can watch her children and grandchildren grow and thrive.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Robert (fiance, Jenny); a daughter, Shenan (Colin) Kernen; eight grandchildren, Xavior, Emma, Jasmine, Jade, Jacob, Sadie, Hailey and Wyatt; two sisters, Gloria (Carmen) Sorentino and Elaine (Tom) Gosse; a sister-in-law, Julie Haslerud; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Haslerud.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Brad Lemke will officiate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Golden Living Center in Florence for their excellent care over the last four years.
