Wife Chides Husband P. G. Haslerud, a clerk in the east side freight depot, pleaded guilty in police court this morning to drunkenness and using profane language. His wife, anxious over his unexplained absence, rang up the station this morning and ascertained his whereabouts. And then she hied herself thence. She arrived just as her husband was humbly bowed before the searching gaze of the court. "What does it mean, Pete?" she inquired with considerable spirit. "What in the world have you done, and why in the word did you do it, whatever it was? What's got in you, any way, Pete. If you get to drinking again we will moved back home. You can draw your money and we will pay up our grocery bills and then start in again."
Mrs. Haslerud was on the verge of tears and seemed to feel very badly over her husband's misfortune in relapsing into what is apparently an old habit.
The court imposed a fine of $10 which the agent stood good for.
