Weds at La Crosse
On Saturday afternoon April 14th, at 5 o'clock, at the home of the groom in La Crosse, occurred the marriage of Mrs. Lelia Fifield to Charles J. Wethe of that place.
The ring ceremony was used, Rev. Guy W. Campbell of the First Methodist Church of La Crosse, officiating. Mrs. Elizabeth Reinoehl of Farley, Iowa, acted as matron of honor and Burton Wethe, son of the groom, as best man.
Mrs. Wethe has many warm friends in Preston and throughout Fillmore County, having come in contact with many in her school teaching experience and making friends wherever she went. Her former connection with the Times force gives her an added portion of our interest, and the Times joins most heartily with her many friends in wishing her long years of happiness and prosperity in her new home.

Leland Benson of Whalan, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Haslerud, Mrs. T. R Benson and Mrs. Byron Tebay attended the funderal of Charles J. Wethe at La Crosse Wednesday. Mr. Wethe, 75, died at his home Monday after a lingering illness. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Al, of Minneapolis, Joy of Rapid City and Buron of La Crosse, one step-daughter Mrs. Alan Harrison of Baltimore, Md., Six grand children and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Haslerud and Mrs. T. R. Benson of Peterson.
