• Marriage Notice: from THE HERALD (Peterson), 1911, Peterson, Fillmore County, MN. "Jack" Haslerud WEDS
John G. Haslerud, whom we last week reported as being here with his parents, evidently failed give our reporter full particulars, as his visit, here at that time was very short. The same evening he left for Chatfield returning to Peterson last Friday evening in company with his is future life partner.
In short, he had gone to Chatfield to be married: The happy event took place last Thursday evening at 5 o'clock,. at the home of the bride, Miss Ruth Henrietta Jennings, Rev. Holst pronouncing the words which united the two hearts, for the remainder of life's journey.
The bride was attired in light tan Messaline silk with fringe and carried white and pink roses and carnations. Her traveling dress was of' dark blue serge with hat to match. The, groom wore the usual conventional black.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A.. Jennings of Chatfield, and is, we learn, one of that city's choicest young ladies. "Jack," as he is familiarily [sic] called, is too well known to our readers to need an introduction. He is from one of our best families and was born and raised in this village, being a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Haslerud. He is in the employ of the Milwaukee railroad with headquarters at Austin, where they will go to housekeeping.
The congratulations on the happy event are numerous and THE HERALD is greatly pleased on this occasion to add its hearty good wishes to those being so freely extended.
