OBITUARY
Mrs. Gurena Danielson Rierson was born in Sevde, Norway, Europe, on May 5, 1826, and died on Jun 14, 1916, having reached the advanced age of 90 years, 1 month and 9 days. She had been ill for some time and death came as a relief from the pains and suffering of this world. While still young she came to this country and settled in Illinois where she was married to Peter Rierson. After living there several years they moved to his county, settling on a farm seven miles southeast of town, where they still resided. Six children are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. They are: Lewis and Dan Rierson of Radcliffe, Richard Rierson of Willmar, Minn., Mrs. Mary Folegro of Des Moines and the Misses Anna and Lena Rierson who are staying at home, all of whom were at her bedside when she passed away, with the exception of Richard. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from Bergens church, Rev. G. Smedal officiating. Interment took place in the Roland cemetery.
