She was born Dec. 25, 1908, on the family farm in Preble Township, Fillmore County, to Henry R. and Ada M. (Paulsen) Dahl. She grew up there and attended the Tawney School and Rushford High School.
On June 9, 1930, she married Norman Eiken. In 1945 they moved to the farm in Amherst Township where they lived until 1975 when they moved into Mabel.
Mr. Eiken died Oct. 1, 1993.
She had recently been a resident at Heritage Grove in Harmony. She was a member of the Newburg Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting and baking cookies.
She is survived by a son, Roger (Win) of Canton; four grandchildren, Ashley of Canton, Joan (Steve) Michel of Harmony, Richard (Diane) of Harmony, and Jill Neuzil of Canton; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delone Carpenter of Bloomington, Minn., and a brother, Ronald (Edna) Dahl of Mohall, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Alta Spande.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are preferred to the Choice Cemetery.
