ALFRED HILL PASSES AWAY IN THIS CITY
Dies Suddenly at His Home on East Main Street Early Sunday Morning -- Had Been Ill for Some Time With Heart Trouble
Alfred Hill passed away rather suddenly at his home on East Main street between 5:30 and 7:30 Sunday morning.
His sister, Mrs. John Woodson was up about 5:30 tucking the quilts around him a little better. At this time he seemed to be all right. About 7:30 when she again entered his room he was dead, apparently having just peacefully slept away.
For the past year Mr. Hill has been in ill health having had heart trouble but he has not been confined in bed and the last month he seemed to be feeling much better.
He was 54 years old the ninth of this month being born and raised here in Albert Lea.
Manly early baseball fans will recall his baseball playing in and around Albert Lea. He worked in the railway mail service for a while but for the past number years has been in the painting business.
Six brothers and his parents have preceded him in death. Those who mourn his loss are: N. L. Hill of Conrad, Mont.; Mrs. P. G. Haslerud Peterson, Minn.; Theodore Hill and Mrs. John Woodson of this city besides several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place form the home on East Main street at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev.. Pre us officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot at Lakewood cemetery.

For Funeral - Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Haslerud and son, Robert and Walter Haslerud of Peterson, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. George Haslerud of Lafayette, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. M. Hart and son, Robert, of Austin were all here yesterday to attend the funeral services of the late Alfred Hill, which were held yesterday at the home on East Main street with Rev. J. C. K. Preus in charge. Burial was made at Lakewood cemetery.
