• Biography. Susan was born out of wedlock on the farm Fimreite in Sogndal, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. Both of her parents were from the Fimreite farm. Later her mother married a man from the Hollekve farm in Sogndal and this is where she grew up. Apparently Nils & Susan were divorced late in life. Nils is buried next to a different woman. Susan came to America with her mother and stepfather in 1865.
