MISS MILLIE C. BENSON
Miss Millie Cecelia Benson, 79, La Crosse, Wis, former area resident, died at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, Tues., Dec. 7, 1971 at 11:43 a.m., following a three day illness.
A retired telephone operator and former organist at Grace Lutheran Church, Peterson, she was born July 10, 1892 in Dexter, Minn. to Thomas R and Minnie Benson. For the past 13 years she had lived in La Crosse. Prior to that she resided in Lanesboro and Peterson. She attended the Peterson school and was a member of the Lutheran church.
Survivors are a brother, Leland R. Benson, Whalen; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Tebay, Peterson; three nieces; grand nieces and nephews. Her parents and a brother have died.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 10, 1971 at Grace Lutheran Church, Peterson the Rev. LaVern Johnson officiating. Burial was in West Grace Luther Cemetery. Pall bearers were Rodney and Dorman Berekvam, Sigurd, Gary and Keith Halvorson and Duane Synder.
