Bertha Marie GULLICKSON

• Obituary, 1983, MN. Peterson, Minnesota - Bertha Malmin, 92, formerly of Peterson, died in the Good Shepherd Nursing Hone, Rushford.

She was born Aug. 29, 1891, in Peterson to Andrew and Amanda (Tippery) Gullickson, and married Carl Malmin June 17, 1946.

She lived in the Peterson area most of her life, except for 29 years she lived in Worthington. She was employee as a Bank teller in the State Bank of Peterson, as a sales clerk for the Agrimson-Johnson General Store, Peterson, and as a sales clerk and an accounts receivable clerk in Worthington.

She attended Peterson schools and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Peterson and an active member of the First Lutheran Church , Worthington. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women organization, Worthington.

Survivors are : eight sons, Clair of Savage, Allan and Curtis of Peterson, Lincoln of Temple, Texas, Vern of Racine, WI, Milford of New Berlin, WI, Robert of Rochester, and Lowell of Brooklyn Center; five daughters, Mrs. Byron (Barbara) Bishop, Mrs. Joseph (Jeanette) Ruschmann of Peterson, Mrs. LaVaughn Greenwalt of Elk Grove, IL., Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Swiggum of Utica, and Mrs. Llewellyn (Dian) Fossum of Viroqua, WI.; 37 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; a brother Amos of Rochester; and a sister Ida Stolen of Rice Lake, WI.

A son and grandson have died.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grace Lutheran Church, the Rev. Herbert Hoff officiating. Burial will be in the East Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may calls from 4-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Rushford, and from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the Church.

Bertha married Carl MALMIN, son of Christian Andersen MALMHEIM and Anna Maria Ellingsdatter LEA. (Carl MALMIN was born on 31 Mar 1886 in Sandnes, Høyland, Rogaland, Norway, baptized on 25 Apr 1886 in Sandnes, Høyland, Rogaland, Norway and died on 10 Aug 1946 in Fillmore County, MN ².)
